Gye-Nyame Kidz Foundation is a school project we started in Ghana in a village named Ahodjo near Nsawan in the eastern region in conjunction with a local young man there. It provides early childhood development for 2 to 11 year olds and is also a source of support for their parents and the community.
The school is linked to the Ministry of Education in Ghana. Art and music are integral parts of the curriculum. Our priorities also include health education and training in areas such as prevention of infectious diseases, hygiene, and nutrition. The school provides Internet training and computer skills for all.
The project manager there is Mohammed Sulemana and he works in close cooperation with the board members of Nimdy, the village and the Ghanaian authorities.
There are currently around 90 children in the school. It is also a communication centre and meeting place for the community, the school staff of 10 come from the village.
The Project has been mainly funded by donations from Nimdy from the ground up.
Teachers, guests and trainers of all nationalities are very welcome to visit and contribute to the project. We welcome anyone willing to help. Especially needed are the following: Kindergarten teachers, experts in early childhood development, solar energy technicians, anyone with basic computer skills, gardeners, plumbers, carpenters, artists of all fields.
people interested in a cultural exchange..... We are open for suggestions as well.
